Tea Party fun!

I think I may have mentioned before that the Tea Party DP may be one of my all time favorites. During the Stampin Up! May Scrapbooking "Buy 3 get 1 free" promotion I stocked up in anticipation of making lots of things for my oldest daughter's birthday. However, as I am a little birthdayed-out right now, I decided to play with some of the paper to see what else I could come up with.

As you would imagine, it looks great with the co-ordinating Sweet Stems stamp set but I think it works well with the Crazy for Cupcakes set and wheel too!

Stamp Set - Sweet Stems, Best Yet
Cardstock & DP - Certainly Celery, Almost Amethyst, Whisper White. Tea Party DP
Inks - Certainly Celery, Almost Amethyst. So Saffron and Pretty in Pink Markers
Accessories - Designer Label punch, Scallop edge punch, Flower brad, Dimensionals.

This was CASED from Nancy's demo meeting. It was a make and take that I didn't get round to making while I was there. I think she used Pretty in Pink instead of Certainly Celery.

Stamp Set - Sweet Stems, Best Yet
Cardstock & DP - Certainly Celery, Whisper White. Tea Party DP
Inks - Black Stazon, Certainly Celery. Pretty in Pink, Almost Amethyst, So Saffron, Certainly Celery markers.
Accessories - Circle punch, Scallop circle punch, Scallop edge punch, So Saffron ribbon

Stamp Set - Crazy for cupcakes and matching cupcake wheel
Cardstock & DP - Barely Banana, So Saffron, Very Vanilla. Tea party DP (the cupcake case was paper pieced with DP also)
Inks - Chocolate Chip (wheel cartridge), Brown Stazon, Pretty in pink. SU markers for coloring
Accessories - Ticket corner punch, Scallop oval punch, Eyelet border punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Dimensionals

While enjoying some play time, I also broke out another couple of sets.

Stamp Set - Soft Summer (2009 mini)

Cardstock & DP - Very Vanilla, Bravo Burgundy. Parisian summer DP (retired)

Inks - Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, Bravo Burgundy, So Saffron

Accessories - Bravo Burgundy ribbon, Antique brass brads, paper piercing (done with mat pack)

I love how this turned out and I think it would look good in many different colors.

Stamp Set - Warm Words, Bella's Border wheel

Cardstock & DP - Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White. Bella Rose DP

Accessories - Scallop Edge punch, Big Shot Flower layers #3 die, Big Shot Little Leaves sizzlit die, Chocolate Chip ribbon, Pretty in Pink ribbon, Chocolate Chip corduroy button brad

Tip - The stampin'around wheel guide is absolutely worth the money when using stamping wheels. Without it, I find it almost impossible to stay straight.

Not "new" but fun!

Still no stamping time for me but I do have a couple of cards to share. My sister's 40th birthday was this week and so I can now share the cards I made for her.

When I saw this Penny Black stamp (Chicks night out), I knew it was just perfect for the card!!

Stamps - Penny Black Chicks night out, SU! Congrats (SAB set)

Cardstock & Paper - Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, So SAffron, Old Olive textured, Chocolate Chip. Haiku DP (love this pattern!)

Inks - Stazon Black, SU! markers in LOTS of colors

Accessories - Scallop edge punch, Tangerine Tango ribbon, Dimensionals, Crystal effects (on wine glasses) and gold pen.

The floor was done by coloring with a marker (Creamy Caramel I think) and then using a Chocolate Chip marker to draw in floorboards.

I am a Sophie/Riley (Hanna stamps) addict and adore Spa Sophie. Since my sister loves a little Spa pampering, I made this card for my girls to send to their favorite Auntie!

Stamps - Spa Sophie (Hanna stamps), SU! Absolutely Fabulous

Cardstock & DP- Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue. Delicate Dots DP

Inks - Brown Stazon, Chocolate Chip, SU! markers

Accessories - Blue fun flock (for bathrobe and towel), Prima Flowers, Pastel brads, SU! Scallop edge punch, Scallop circle punch, circle punch, crystal effects (on foot spa)

While it is fun to make things that appeal only to me, one of the things I love most about making cards is that I can usually find stamps etc. that "fit" with a person. For example, this Super Moose Riley card I made for a friend of Anwyn's who turns 4 this weekend. He is having a Superhero party and I know this will make him smile.

Then we have the super-girlie cards made using Stamping Bella Chichiboulie fairies for some friends of Rhiannon. They are twins who turned 6 a few weeks ago and they are real girlie-girls (notice the use of my favorite Tea Party DP in the first card. I will be stocking up on this whether it is retiring or not!).
